The Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. donated two (2) Medical Vans, six (6) Dental Packages, six (6) Gym Equipment Packages and ten (10) Sports Equipment Packages to the BFP which will be distributed to different BFP Regional Offices and Fire Stations. The turnover ceremony was held at 10 o’clock in the morning at the BFP National Headquarters, Agham Road in Quezon City on December 11, 2014.
AFPMBAI is known for its mission of extending assistance to various uniformed personnel in managing finances, loans and insurances aspect. As a token of gratitude and appreciation for the continuous support and longtime partnership of the BFP, the AFPMBAI provided vehicles and various equipment to the Bureau in order to efficiently deliver emergency and medical-related services to the public.
The medical vans will be delivered to the Regional Office of Region 11 and Iriga City of Region 5, respectively. The recipients of the dental packages are BFP-NHQ, Regions 9, 7, 5 and Quezon City Fire District. Moreover, the gym equipment packages will be distributed to BFP-NHQ, Regions 11, 9, 8, 2 and NCR. Meanwhile, the ten (10) recipients of the sports equipment packages are Pasuquin and Agoo Fire Stations of Region 1, Aurora Fire Station of Region 2, Baler Fire Station of Region 3, Regional Office of Region 5, Siquijor Fire Station of Region 6, Ormoc City Fire Station of Region 8, Pagadian City Fire Station of Region 9, Marawi City Fire Station of ARMM and Lamut Fire Station of CAR.
“In behalf of the Bureau of Fire Protection, I want to extend our deepest admiration for all the contributions and donations the AFPMBAI has done to the BFP,” CSUPT ARIEL BARAYUGA said as he assured Ret. MGEN Edgardo Rene C Samonte, AFPMBAI President, of the BFP’s commitment to effectively and efficiently perform its mandated function of saving lives by using the donated ambulances.
