Deputy Commissioner DELILAH F DELES of the National Telecommunications Commission paid a courtesy call to FIRE DIRECTOR ARIEL A BARAYUGA, CEO VI earlier today. This is in line with their joint project with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) — the Establishment of a Radio Frequency (RF) Monitoring and Radio Direction Finding System in Metro Manila. The location of the BFP-National Headquarters was chosen as one of the three (3) Fixed Radio Monitoring Sites Partners of this Project along with the Malabon City Hall Building and the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) Building in Taguig City. The Project aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of the NTC in managing the radio spectrum by enhancing the its radio monitoring capability thus achieving an interference-free radio environment, improving the delivery of services to the public and enhancing public safety and security, and other related government and industry services. At present, KOICA is installing the fixed station where the radio monitoring/direction-finding (DF) equipment at the BFP-NHQ roofdeck.
